You would add the particles anywhere to your 3dscene.
The two renderers (left/right) then take care of the rest...;-)

After a period of silence there are new videos coming up.
Those of you who always wanted to know the secrets about setting up a license server for Fusion will find this one very informative:

Merge4 cannot get foreground image at time 48

Embedding fonts in a comp would be a sweet feature, no? ;)

Hehe....;-)
If there weren't those royalty/copyright/patent issues with fonts I would have included it.
(Actually the "Archive Composition" Script allows to copy fonts as well....;-))
Apparently I forgot to switch the Text+ back to "Arial" before uploading the comp....sorry.
The Comp http://vfxpedia.com/...xpressions.comp has been updated now...;-)

Since it has been requested on the Laffey List a lot, here is one way to make Particles follow a path in 3D
The comp can be downloaded here: http://www.vfxpedia....ng_Path_01.comp
Enjoy.

Once you told you are creating an image 100 pixels wide, I thought to myself: huck, why I wouldn't guess about this way myself! :)
Brilliant idea! Thank you :)

I would add more distance between them so that it would be obvious that particles move. Now the position of adjacent particles is the same in adjacent frames.

Hey Gringo.
Thanks! But the credits go to Robert Zeltsch, who actually built this comp...;-)
A slightly different approach using a Duplicate Fuse instead of the trails. Thanks to Chad for the idea.

Do you happen to have some (keyable/keyed) crowd footage available?
Doing that thing in Fusion is almost a snap, but I'm short of dancing people here...;-)

I've been trying to find the time to replicate the tutorial Fusionwannabe is referring to myself.
They're not dancing people, but they can be made into a crowd.
