eyeon Software has established a YouTube channel which we will be using to post training and demo videos. You can see the videos on our YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/eyeonsoftware

The most recent video is Simple Stereo Conversion. which shows a portion of one of the NAB demonstrations, recorded live on the show floor. Eric Westphal presents a composition which uses 3D image displacement to convert a still photograph into a stereo shot.

The full list of videos available at the moment is :

This post will be updated as new videos become available.

As mentioned in another thread, and in the newsletter, we have established a YouTube channel which we will be using to post training and demo videos for the forseeable future. You can see the videos at http://www.youtube.c...r/eyeonsoftware

Hi izyk,

Love the videos and the fast pace!
The links in the newsletter don't actually link to them though. They lead to a youtube page searching for "eyeon fusion generation" which doesn't turn up eyeon's channel at all, unless I'm looking at the wrong place. It would be great if at least one of the links went directly to the eyeon channel to make your guy's hard work easier to find. Maybe you could just edit the html or something.
Keep up the great work!

Be glad to. Can we make this a sticky? If so I'll update the title post as well.

These are cool, but I am trying to follow along with the camera projection demo and I seem to be missing certain things on my tools ????, I cannot get the to work as it does in the demo. it is like there is no mapping or something.

In the section with "enable camera projection" there is a check box below called "prject ambient light" which I do not seem to have ???? maybe I am missing something ?????

Is there a tute for this demo ?

cheers

Richard

You need to plug in a image into your camera for those controls to be visible.

Hi, yeah thanks for that. So I can get it to work just fine in 5.3, but not 6 ?????? The controls on the tools appear to be different.

Cheers

Hmm. I can duplicate that bug. Thanks!

ALSO

I posted a new 5 minute video, called "eight small things", which covers some of the less glamorous changes made in Fusion 6. Let's face it - reading the release notes can be boring, and it is easy to miss some of the cool little stuff that get slipped in to a major new release.

in fact, eight is really only just the beginning. I'll probably produce an "eight more things....." sequel later this week, after I finish up the LUT overview and ROI/DOD videos.

In the training classes I teach I discovered a lot of artists didn't even know there was an XY Path modifier in Fusion. We improved the modifier a fair bit in Fusion 6 too - it's cleaner, more functional, and now the tracker can use it too. So we've got a new short video this week, covering the XY Path modifier in general, and how to set it as the default for tracking in Fusion 6.

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=UMf6jQrC3og

I am going to try and add one new video every week for the next 52 weeks. We brainstormed a long list of topics, and prepped a few videos in advance to cover busy weeks (like the upcoming Siggraph). I've said it publicly now, so feel free to get on my case if a Tuesday morning arrives and there is no new video.

Download links to get offline access to the videos is coming later this week, if all goes well, and I'll try to get the transcriptions done soon too.

As a side note, I would love for these to be more accessible to non-english speakers, especially considering how quickly I tend to talk. If anyone narrates a matching length wav file for any of the videos in another language, or transcribes a translation, I will happily encode and upload a new version.
